Showcasing some of history's famous people

WEST COLUMBIA, SC – Fifth-graders at Congaree Elementary school found a creative way to share information about some famous people in history. After researching athletes including Jackie Robinson (shown here) and Venus and Serena Williams, explorers Lewis and Clark (shown here), inventors Albert Einstein and the Wright Brothers, and former President Abraham Lincoln, fifth-grade students dressed up like the people they researched and presented a Wax Museum. Second-, third-, and fourth-graders toured the museum, along with some of the school’s families. The event was put together by Congaree Elementary educators Lorri Wood, Katianne Goodale, Kyrsten Hall, Seth Hall, and Veronica Evans.
